About the Artist

Jessika has been drawn towards art since she was in elementary school...

Art time was her favorite time even staying in from recess occasionally to finish a project she was working on in class.

During middle and high school she stayed awake in class by drawing in the margins or back of her assignments and homework. These were the times she started growing to love the power of creation.

While serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints she began painting during her free time and gifting it to those around her. When she came home, she realized she needed to spend more time learning the techniques of paint and other mediums, it fascinated her.

Jess threw herself into the craft of painting, sculpting, drawing, and even taking as many art history classes in college as she could.

Now, recently graduated from Brigham Young University as Valedictorian with a major in American Studies and Minor in art, her focus has shifted to creating art that connects people with one another.

She met a handsome guy, Andrew, who is now her super supportive fiancé and together they are impacting the community and getting involved with the creative scene in Provo.

She loves the outdoors, traveling, and is always hauling around too many art supplies wherever she goes whether it’s to her friends’ apartments or on a road trip across the country. Starting each day with a walk outdoors, good breakfast, and a fresh pallet of paints, Jess finds joy and peace within her brushes, canvases, and paints.

“Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.”
